New Liquid Based Transport for Microbiology

1ml modified Liquid Amies with unique Nylon flocked swab. Maintains viability of Aerobes, Anaerobes and Fastidious Bacteria for up to 48 hrs at room temperature and refrigerator temperature.*
Sample rapidly and completely elutes from the flocked swab as soon as it is placed in the transport medium.
Provides 1ml of sample suspension for Gram stain and multiple culture analysis.
Invention comprises unique plastic applicators with various molded tips correct for the human anatomy. Tips are sprayed with short strands of nylon fiber which bond in a perpendicular fashion.
Flocked swabs have no inside; sample is absorbed by the strong capillary power between the fibers and remains very close to the surface.
When the swab is placed in the transport the entire sample elutes immediately.
